George Amzashvili assumed the role of CEO at the Georgian Stock Exchange Group in July 2025. George is an expert in financial and capital markets with over 25 years of cross-functional experience spanning corporate finance, structured finance, capital markets development, and strategic advisory roles across both emerging and developed economies.

He has led complex projects in advising mergers and acquisitions, designing innovative financial instruments, and shaping economic reforms to improve market infrastructure and expand access to finance.

Among his notable achievements is his work with Deloitte Consulting on the USAID Economic Governance Program, where he played a key role in developing critical financial legislation and platforms in Georgia — including the Investment Funds Law, Securitization Law, and frameworks for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). His expertise in securitization, and complex transactions involving asset-backed securities, syndicated loans, and equity fundraising is backed by a proven record of execution.

Fluent in English, Georgian, and Russian, he holds an Executive MBA from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Tamaz Khizanishvili was appointed the General Deputy Director of the Tbilisi Stock Exchange in November 2022. Tamaz has over 25 years of professional experience in the securities market including his roles as the Chairman of the Committee at the Caucasus Stock Exchange, Investment Consultant at Basis Bank and the Head of Securities Department at United Georgian Bank. During 1994-2000 Tamaz served as a member of the Consultation Committee of Securities Market Inspection Agency and Barents Group’s Securities Training Committee. Tamaz was a member of the editorial team of “Securities Market” analytical journal and co-authored three academic books on securities.

Tamaz Khizanishvili graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili University, Faculty of Economics and Engineering and holds a postgraduate degree.

Khatuna Gvilava has been serving as Chief Financial Officer of the Georgian Stock Exchange (GSE) Group since 2025. She began her career at the organization in 2015, where over the years she held the positions of Chief Accountant and Financial Manager.

Khatuna is responsible for defining the company’s financial strategy and accounting policies, as well as for budget planning and ensuring its effective implementation. Her areas of responsibility include financial risk management, analysis of investment decisions, cost optimization, and coordination of the Finance Department’s activities.

In addition to her managerial role, Khatuna has many years of experience as a trainer in various financial disciplines. This qualification enables her to make a significant contribution to both corporate learning initiatives and the professional development of team members.

Khatuna graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a degree in Economics and Business. She is also an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) candidate. She has successfully completed the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills levels and is currently at the Strategic Professional stage.

George Batsikadze serves as the Chief Technology Officer for the Central Securities Depository of Georgia, the Georgian Stock Exchange, and the Tbilisi Stock Exchange. He leads the development and modernization of Georgia’s capital market technology infrastructure, overseeing trading and post-trade systems, ensuring technological stability, and optimizing operational efficiency across the market.

In addition to his core technology expertise, George has experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), audit, and consulting projects. Throughout his career, he has worked with both international and local organizations, including KPMG and Triple A Internetshops GmbH, where he led projects and managed teams.

His professional experience spans multiple industries, including financial services, energy, telecommunications, and regulatory sectors, delivering technology and consulting solutions that drive operational and strategic impact.

Giorgi Batsikadze is a graduate of Oxford Brookes University.

Nino (Nuki) Samkharauli joined the Georgian Stock Exchange Group in 2018 and currently serves as Legal and Regulatory Director. She oversees the company’s legal affairs, providing legal support for capital market infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in processes aimed at harmonizing the legal framework with international standards.

She has over 15 years of professional experience with various accountable and financial sector organizations. Throughout her professional career, she worked as a project lawyer in the United Kingdom and collaborated with local and international investors as an external legal consultant on the legal analysis of international agreements and investment projects. She is also actively involved in sharing professional knowledge and, as a visiting lecturer, conducts lectures and training sessions on corporate governance and capital market topics.

Nuki Samkharauli is a member of the Georgian Bar Association in the field of civil law and represents interested parties in court.

She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, a Master’s degree in Private Law from the Caucasus University School of Law, and an LL.M. in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London.

She is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian, and has basic knowledge of French.
